Operating Instructions

The Pogo Pole Hose Adapter is for a 12” diameter duct cleaning hose and designed to allow you to quickly

attach an Air-Care TurboJet or other portable air duct-cleaning machine to ceiling, wall supply or return ducts.

It can also be used to connect to a basement plenum that has a suitable opening in it. For connecting to floor ducts, a standard 12” Hose Adapter Plate may be used. (12” hose adapter sold separately)

  1. Locate the duct to which the hose is to be connected and remove the diffuser or grill.
  2. When connecting a Pogo Pole Hose Adapter to a ceiling duct opening, place the Pogo Pole Hose Adapter on the floor under the duct. Move the hitch pin a hole that will provide enough spring tension while installed for a snug fit against the duct opening.
  3. Now that the length is set to provide spring tension, pick up the Pogo Pole Hose Adapter and place the 12” opening over the ceiling duct opening. Carefully position the bottom rubber foot of the pole directly under the duct to provide a secure and stable support. The 2” foam will protect the ceiling and make a good seal.
  4. When connecting a Pogo Pole Hose Adapter to a wall register, place the 20” X 20 X 2” foam pad of the Pogo Pole “Plate” assembly over the wall duct opening. Place the rubber tipped end of the pole on a section of solid floor; do NOT place it on a small rug or other moveable floor covering. The Pogo Pole must be approximately 60 degrees to prevent if from slipping.

Caution: Do not leave the Pogo Pole Hose Adapter unattended until you are certain that it will not slip and cause injury or damage.

  1. Attach a 12” hose over the opening on the Pogo Pole “Plate” with hose clamps. (Hose with hose clamps sold separately)
  2. Attach the other end of the 12” hose over the opening of an Air Care Turbojet or other duct-cleaning machine with hose clamps.

Note: The Pogo Pole Hose Adapter and Hose should be disconnected when being moved or transported.
